Some pieces arrive slowly.
Built over many hours of carving, painting, layering glazes, and quiet reflection, this platter is one of the most complete expressions of the Tanushka world to date. A true one-of-a-kind artwork, created not only to hold food, but to hold meaning.
At its centre sits a solitary figure surrounded by abundant plants and fruits, accompanied by a handwritten message:
"Come back to yourself. Feed your soul with nature, plants, fruits, stillness. For your roots remember how to keep you alive."
Part serving bowl, part sculpture, part poem, this piece was created as a gentle reminder in a world that constantly asks us to move faster. It invites us back to simple things: nourishing meals, slow afternoons, quiet moments, and the wisdom found in nature.
The imagery reflects the heart of Tanushka — a dreamlike landscape somewhere between Romanian folklore and Mediterranean ease. A place where fruit bowls overflow, plants grow wild, and life is measured not by productivity but by presence.
Its generous size makes it perfect for abundant salads, shared dishes, seasonal fruit displays, or as a striking centrepiece on a dining table. Yet even empty, it carries a strong presence, functioning as a standalone work of ceramic art.
This is not a production piece. It is an original artwork that will never be repeated in exactly the same way.
